Sight UnSeen holds strong on radio!

October 12, 2011
Sight UnSeen is seen in The Billboard top 30. Though more than 100 new singles have been released since Sight UnSeen's debut to radio on August 1st, the song still demands lots of attention on radio. Thanks to Neal and Matt, for continuing to represent me with great radio promotion. As always I thank the supportive folks at radio, and my loyal fans. We'll stay strong and keep the love alive. This album has had a good run! We are now getting ready to celebrate the 32nd week on The SmoothIndieStar Chart, and the 12th week on the SmoothJazz.com Chart. What can I say, except I couldn't or wouldn't do it without you guys. 2012 is coming soon and a new album is in the works. I hesitate to speculate on a release date, but we are shooting for late spring. Keep checking back for more news, and don't forget that a new Holiday album from me will be available in a few short weeks!

The music of Shawn Brock is featured on The Weather Channel!

September 8, 2011
I'm pleased to announce that my music is being featured on The Weather Channel's Local On The 8's during the month of September. Only a few minutes after being notified that they would be featuring selections from my latest album Sight UnSeen, I turned them on to get the weekend forecast. Sure enough, there came one of my songs, On The Wire. I was a little shocked for a minute, I thought, that song sounds familiar don't it? Well, it should, I wrote it and recorded it. Then I remembered, they had emailed me to notify me that my album was in the playlist this month. So here I was, waiting on the weekend forecast, standing around with a broom and dustpan in my hand, and out of nowhere, I'm blasting over the television. Thanks to The Weather Channel for sharing my music with so many viewers and listeners! Turn them on, and check me out.
Sight UnSeen races blindly up the charts!

August 16, 2011
I'm proud to report that my latest single Sight UnSeen jumped up 16 spots to number 29 on SmoothJazz.com this week. It also took a giant leap on The Smooth Indie Star Chart to come in at number 9. All of this is made possible by you great fans and supporters and the wonderful folks at radio who still appreciate good writing and production. We are only 3 weeks out of the shoot with this tune, and the game is just starting! I'm proud to be a man who just does what he does. From the writing, to the production, Shawn Brock is what you hear. No one writes my tunes for me, no one polishes up my work. As my buddy Bruce Hornsby said, "that's just the way it is", and that's the way its gonna be. The fun is just beginning!
Hello? Testing, 1-2-3, we're on the air!

Better living through Television!

July 11, 2011
The reality craze can't get enough of Shawn Brock it seems. My music will be featured in 2 new reality shows slated to run in September and October. Coming 2 Hollywood and Taxi Cab Diaries, will both be featuring my music during episodes of each show's debut season. When I think back on all of the shows I have been involved with from a musical standpoint, it makes me feel a little old... The big 3-0 is coming up soon! Never the less... Its a pleasure to be involved with my brothers and sisters of television again. Maybe someday I'll get another acting call. After my bit part on Law And Order, my acting career came to a grinding halt. Not that I would ever chase anything like that. My appearance on Law And Order was just one of those "right place at the right time" deals which just came to me. It was a lot of fun, but I sure wouldn't want to do it all of the time! When it comes to making music for the tube though, that I truly love! I'm just happy to have been a part of it all.

I would like to thank the fans and everyone in radio for the tremendous support they have given me as an artist and writer. We all know that times have been rough for the entertainment business these past few years. To have my music embraced by so many people means more than I can ever illustrate through words. I have been riding this tune for almost 6 months now, and we have seen a lot of singles come and go in this amount of time. I'm proud to have a tune that can hang in there, and still sit at number 25 after being out this long. Staying power is worth a heck of a lot to me! A new single is headed to radio soon! In days to come we will share more news about what track will be released next to radio, and the date when you can expect to start hearing it.

THE BAND

May 2, 2010
I'm pleased to announce that I am working with a few new players. Its my pleasure to introduce you to bassist Reggie Balino, drummer Doug Mcelroy and keyboardist Achie Pan. Both Doug and Reggie are new to the band, but Achie has played with me before. Its a pleasure to have her back working with us! Reggie and Doug have found a home quickly and are two of the most reliable and solid players that I have had the pleasure of working with. I'm proud to be working with these fellows, and they don't mind when I go off on my Buddy Rich like tangents... Michael Esposito is still holding down the duties on the horn and doing a fine job as always. He's blowing the sax out of the water!
