Altman D-2
The Altman family are certainly no strangers to us. we have had the pleasure of showcasing several of their instruments down through the years, and they have certainly left a big mark in the world of boutique musical instruments. Taking a listen to this D-2 will illustrate what we are talking about. this instrument has a fabulous balance, with a lot of body to the sound. Vermilion/ padauk, is perhaps the perfect species for backs and sides; it has a wonderful clarity similar to mahogany, but the extra depth and harmonic content you often find in Rosewood.
