Hozen (Ho Zen Yong) is a renowned Singaporean luthier and founder of Hozen Guitars (evolved from Maestro Guitars). Trained under master luthier Ervin Somogyi, Hozen personally voices every guitar while leading a specialized team of luthiers. This innovative team-built process combines masterful hand-voicing and traditional techniques (like hide glue) with modern efficiencies, producing world-class, responsive instruments at more accessible prices than typical one-man boutique builds.
Hozen guitars emphasize tonal richness, playability, and ergonomics, drawing inspiration from golden-era designs while incorporating refinements such as carbon fiber neck reinforcement and precise PLEK setups.
