Joshua Young 2025 D-28
Here’s a consignment for those of you who like vintage sounding and feeling dreadnoughts, but not the sky high prices. This is a prime opportunity to obtain an instrument built by one of the most talked about Young luthiers of today. Joshua Young has a waitlist which is stretching beyond two years, and listening to the video demo will help demonstrate the reason why. This guitar is a 2025 build, and his serial number 33. It has a nice clean bass, and very pleasant trebles, and all the volume you could imagine, and it isn’t even broken in yet. It is in excellent condition, and may show very slight signs of handling.
Specs:
Built in the 1937 style with forward shifted and scalloped X bracing, Maggie Valley Red Spruce top, select grade Guatemalan Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with volute and vintage inspired carve/ thickness, Gotoh open back nickel tuners, 1 3/4 nut width, bone nut, ebony fingerboard, gold fretwire, rolled fingerboard edge, ebony bridge, cut through bone saddle, 2 5/16 string spacing at the bridge, solid pins/ slotted bridge, nitro lacquer finish, housed in its original Silver Creek case.
I personally own two guitars from Josh, and if that isn’t a testimony for the sound of his instruments, then I don’t know what to tell you. This one has a very vintage tone to it, and is as powerful as anything on the market!
