This exceptional Martin D-28 Custom Shop (or Custom Expert) recreation of the revered 1937 model is presented in Excellent Plus condition. It features the desirable Ambertone finish that beautifully enhances the vintage-inspired aesthetic with warm, amber-toned sunburst highlights. It comes complete with its original Harptone hardshell case.
This instrument captures the golden-era Martin tone and construction with meticulous attention to period-correct details. It is one of the best-sounding examples we have ever heard — delivering powerful, boomy bass, rich midrange warmth, sparkling trebles, and outstanding projection and sustain that truly embodies the legendary pre-war D-28 voice.

• Body Size: Dreadnought (D-14 fret)
• Top: Solid Adirondack spruce (non-VTS top)
• Back & Sides: Solid East Indian rosewood Bracing: Authentic 1937 forward-shifted, hand-scalloped X-bracing with Adirondack spruce braces
• Neck: Genuine mahogany with Authentic 1937 V-shaped carve (standard taper), dovetail neck joint
• Scale Length: 25.4”
• Nut Width: 1-3/4”
• String Spacing at Saddle: 2-5/16”
• Fingerboard & Bridge: Ebony
• Saddle: Long bone (original glued-in saddle)
• Tuners: Nickel Waverly with butterbean knobs (open-gear)
• Rosette & Bindings: Style 28 rosette with period-correct ivoroid bindings and purfling
• Finish: Vintage Gloss in Ambertone burst
• Construction: Hide glue throughout with other authentic details like cloth strip side reinforcements, dovetail neck joint, with truss rod for convenience. Modifications: The only changes from factory are a strap button installed in the appropriate location and replacement of the original glued-in saddle by an authorized Martin repairman (saddle work professionally executed with no other alterations).
