Martin 1937 D-18 Authentic Aged Sinker mahogany
If you don’t have an extra $100,000 laying around, for a 1937 D-18, this might be the ticket for you. Please note, in addition to the factory aging process, there are some pick marks that are most noticeable above the bass E, a ding on the treble side lower bout on the top, and another on the treble side, which was most likely caused by someone pushing the Guitar against something in their pocket. Also, there is some fret wear on the first few frets on the treble. this is a wonderful instrument, and I kept it around for a few weeks to enjoy it for myself, the extensive sound sample will tell you all you need to know, along with these specs from Martin. To purchase this instrument new will cost you over $8000, and I guarantee you that the visual quality of the set of sinker mahogany in the new example won’t come close to this one. supplied with OHSC.
