Young D-41 Cocobolo and Adirondack

$8,999.00

Description: Here's a special guitar that's just come available,  a Young Guitars Cocobolo/Maine Adirondack Red Spruce D-41 Deluxe, inlays and trim is similar to a Martin Modern Deluxe but with more prewar correct specs. This instrument sounds as good as it looks, the Cocobolo makes for a different but comparable sound to Brazilian, with just a little less overtones and a touch more warmth. This is also the nicest cocobolo you'll see, the spiderwebbing makes it look like the best brazilian out there. Hot hide glue 1937 spec bracing, using Wayne Henderson's '37 bracing template, and John Arnold's '37 D-28 tracing for general dimensions, then Voiced and fine tuned from there to get the most out of the wood I'm working with. The neck and bridge spacing are prewar spec as well, with a very full neck profile most comparable to a '34 D-28, that doesnt taper to be as fat past the 5th fret. This guitar has the tone, and all the power you could want. Only light playwear, very few dings to note of(the worst being a ding on the binding edge in one spot). There's about a 2 year waitlist right now to get a Young Guitar, and they almost never come available on the used market, so if you're interested feel free to reach out!
